Ogni riga si terminerà con un punto bassissimo, tagliando il filo e sfilandolo.
I punti sono quelli base: catenella, punto basso, il bassissimo e punto alto a parte i fiorellini finali che verranno eseguiti con colori diversi e alternati. Il punto centrale contrassegnato da 4 aste con una barra in alto è il punto nocciolina o punto stitch, filo sull’uncinetto, infilare l’uncinetto nel punto di base, un’altra volta filo sull’uncinetto, questo per 4 volte e chiudere poi tutti i punti insieme.
Riga 1: 1 cat. una serie di punti bassi lavorati sulla coda di topo. Il numero è variabile a seconda della lunghezza desiderata, l’importante che siano multipli di 4.
Riga 2: 3 cat. e continuare con una serie di punti alti.
Riga 3: 1 cat. e una serie di punti bassi.
Riga 4: 5 cat. 1 punto basso saltando 2 punti bassi della riga sottostante, continuare con 4 cat. e 1 punto basso sempre saltando 2 punti bassi. Proseguire sino al termine della riga.
Riga 5: 3 cat. nell ‘archetto sottostante lavorare: *1 p.basso, 3 cat., 1 p.basso, 3 cat. sino ad arrivare all’altro archetto*, ripetere da *a* sino al termine.
Riga 6: su ogni archetto della riga 5 creare i fiori in colori differenti. 3 cat. 1 punto basso, 2 cat. 1 punto nocciolina, 2 cat. 1 punto basso, 2 cat, 1 punto basso. Chiudere con un punto bassissimo, tagliare e sfilare il filo. Ripetere ogni fiore su ogni archetto della riga precedente.

Occorre veramente pochissimo tempo, ma la soddisfazione è

I materiali che dovrete utilizzare sono: cotone in due colori a vostra scelta, uncinetto n. 1,9 e una base per la spilla.
Il primo passo per ottenere una perfetta rosa all’uncinetto sarà avviare 40 catenelle e poi, dopo aver lavorato 2 maglie alte nella prima catenella, dovrete saltare la catenella successiva. Ripetere il procedimento.
Tra le due maglie alte, lavorate * 2 maglie alte, 3 catenelle, 2 maglie alte, 1 catenella e *ripetete da * a *. A questo punto del lavoro, vedrete che la vostra creazione inizierà ad arricciarsi naturalmente.
Nell’archetto formato dalle 3 catenelle lavorate * 11 maglie alte, 1 maglia bassa sulla catenella sottostante *. Ripetere da * a *. Fatto questo, potete cambiate colore e usare dell filo bianco, realizzando un piccolo nodo. Poi fate un giro a maglia bassa, tagliate il filo e iniziate ad arrotolare la rosa su se stessa.

in each chain space,* 7 double crochet stitches and single crochet around*, slip stitch together.

add color to the center and on the edge of the coaster to add a pop of color. Here is a video on how to add this color. I blocked them with a steam iron.

Stitches:
chain stitch (ch), double crochet (dc), half double crochet (hdc), single crochet (sc), slip stitch (sl)
Pattern:
1. Chain stitch 4 with red yarn.
2. Slip stitch back through the first chain stitch to create a circle.
3. Chain stitch 3. This will act as your first double crochet in this round.
4. Double crochet 11 more stitches in the center of the circle you made in step 2. 12 total.

5. Slip stitch through the top of the first chain of 3 to form the first circle round.

6. Continue with your red yarn and chain stitch 3 again. This will act as your first double crochet (dc) in this round.
7. Double crochet into the same stitch, so there are now 2 in the same space.
8. Continue to double crochet 2 stitches into each of the remaining holes from the previous round. 24 total.
9. Slip stitch through the top of the first chain of 3 to form the second circle round. Cut off your yarn and pull it tight to finish.

10. Add cream yarn into one of the spaces in the red piece and chain stitch 2. This will act as your first half double crochet (hdc). Stitch one more hdc into that same red yarn space as your chain of 2.
11. Continue to hdc 2 stitches through each space in the red yarn, for a total of 48 (including your first 2 from #10)
12. Slip stitch through the top of the first chain of 2 to form the third circle round. Cut off your yarn and pull it tight to finish.

13. Add green yarn into one of the spaces in the cream and chain stitch 1. This will act as your first single crochet (sc).
14. Continue to single crochet 1 stitch through each space in the cream yarn, for a total of 48 (including your first chain 1).
15. Slip stitch through the first sc to form the fourth circle round. Cut off your yarn and pull it tight to finish.

Use your yarn needle to thread and hide all the tails.
You can be finished here, as it does resemble a watermelon. But you can get out a little black yarn and sew in a few black bumps to represent seeds and it makes it complete.

1. Tie a knot at the bottom of 12 inches of yarn and thread on your needle to the top.
2. Sew your yarn up and over one thread of red yarn and thread it back down. As you work each seed, thread your black yarn through the red to hide it in.
3. Repeat by sewing as many seeds as you’d like.
4. Tie a simple knot at the end and weave in the tail to hide it.
